MODERN TIME IN WEST BENGAL :

Aftermore than SIX Decades of Political 'Freedom' ,it has stll a 'fragmented Identity i. ' West bengal' while , the Greater Eastern half has chosen the name - BANGLA DESH.. We boast of our culture so much in vain, when both Rabindranath and Jbananda Das comes from Eastern Part ( now Bangladesh) i,e from Jsssore and Barisal.

Now POLITICS of WEST BENGAL has Sub-divided Bengalis into i)' Buddhi-jibis ', Intellectualists, shilpa-jibis , Chitrasilpa -jibis, A-buddhi-jibis etc, etc, and lot more for political acsent / descent or 'Decorations'.

Wile majority of urban - Intellectual-jibis speaks a language with 60 - 40 mixed or ' KICHRI Bhasha' (which is neither Bengali nor English ) and observes Rabindra Jayanti as a Social Status ( Vidyasagars , Ram Mohan-s ,J,c Bose-s , Sarat Chandra-s are Cultural Out casts , because they did not write songs ).

Other notable jewels are Film Actors (Chala -Chitra-shilpa Jibis) and so many Metro Stations are named after them , while now the most Famous Bengali known all over the Globe and ever lasting ( BOSON) contribution to the Field of Science , is not even mentioned as a 'Sera Bangali , because he was not a Film star or -a Chitra-shilpa jibi.
