According to the police, Dwivedi also alleged that he was abused and assaulted by Khan and Vishal.
A court in Andheri has asked the airport police to register an FIR against actor Salman Khan for criminal intimidation and robbery.
The court’s directive came on a complaint filed by Ravindra Moorat Dwivedi, a member of Brashtachaar Nirmoolan Samiti, who had alleged that Salman Khan and his bodyguard had assaulted him aboard a Mumbai-Delhi flight on November 4 last year.
“Dwivedi said he was carrying important documents regarding the demise of BJP leader Gopinath Munde, which he was supposed to hand over to the government. During the flight, Dwivedi alleged, Salman Khan along with his bodyguard Vishal got into a fight with him and snatched the documents from him,” R C Nagbhire, seniorinspector with the airport police, said.
According to the police, Dwivedi also alleged that he was abused and assaulted by Salman Khan and Vishal. The complainant had also alleged that when he tried to approach the airport police after the incident, the personnel at the police station refused to register the case.
The court has now directed the police to register an FIR under sections 392 (robbery), 323 (causing hurt), 504 (insult with intention to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code against Khan and his associates. “No FIR has been registered yet. I have forwarded the details and the FIR would be registered by Wednesday morning,” Nagbhire said.
